this exciting expedition is rated among one the best in the world for doing this adventure. We start our journey from Cusco 3300 mts. We drive for about 4 hours though the Andes down to the Apurimac River which is the tributary of the Amazon River which is the longest river in the world.
Once we get there we will start rafting different levels such as III, IV and V for 55 km. The adventure in Apurimac is quite demanding and requires absolute concentration but with all the equipments you get is safe, Those who know the Apurimac always say that it is he who commands, so the river deserves all the possible respect, so Precaution is more for those who try to venture into its water.
Among the wildlife in this remote and isolated canyon we find river otters, wild cats, foxes, torrent ducks, etc.
DAY 1: Cusco Apurimac -canon
pick up time 8:45 am. Then we go down to Apurimac canyon for about 4 hours to get the bridge called Huallpachaca 2.150mts once we are there we will prepare all the staff such as life jackets, helmets , wetsuits, waterproof jackets, paddles and a self evacuation raft for our adventure and get briefing of how to do it, all after we will start and do class II,III.
DAY 2: Canyon of Apurimac
After our breakfast, we will go back to river and keep floating for about 7 hours doing class III and IV. The canyon cliff site is narrower and impressive as we go ahead.
during the day will cross several points until we get our lunch place which is by the river bank, after our good a delicious food we will have free time for siesta and camp in one of the sandy section around the canyon which is characterized by having a good surface of white sand where one can also make a campfire and enjoy the evening with a view of the sky and stars.
DAY 3: Apurimac Canyon – Cusco
we will start early to have a full day of adrenaline and adventure because we will do higher class of IV,V.
After 4 hours in the river, we will finish close to our campsite and have our last lunch to finally take our private transportation to Cuzco .
