Itinerary
Humantay Lake Tour Itinerary
We will pick you up from your hotel in Cusco at 4:00 AM to begin our journey to Humantay Lake. Our adventure starts with a 2-hour drive to mollepata where you will have some breakfast.
after that we will continue to soraypampa which also serves as the first campsite for the renowned Salkantay trek .
Upon arrival. we will start our hike towards Humantay Lake, surrounded by breathtaking landscapes. At the beginning of the trek, you will be able to admire the majestic snow-capped peaks of Salkantay and Humantay mountain.
The hike to the lake takes approximately 1.5 hours. The trail begins with a flat section for about 20 minutes followed by an uphill climb leading to the lake at an altitude of 4,200 meters. The effort is well worth it, as the view of the lake is absolutely stunning. Once we arrive you will have plenty of time to take photos.
Afterward, we will descend back down to Soraypampa which will takes us around 1.5 hours and will be much easier than the ascent, then we will be back to mollepata for our lunch and finally we to cusco.
