Itinerary
Option A: Cusco City Tour – Morning
Our Cusco city tour begins at 8:00 a.m. with hotel pickup. We will start by exploring the Inca site of Sacsayhuamán, where we will spend about an hour discovering its fascinating history. Next, we will visit Qenqo, where our guide will provide detailed insights into the site's significance. The journey continues to Tambomachay and Puka Pukara, where you will learn more about these archaeological sites.
then we will continue to the Plaza de Armas to visit the Cathedral and finally Qorikancha, also known as the Temple of the Sun.
Option B: Cusco City Tour – Afternoon
We will pick you up from your hotel at 1:00 p.m. to begin an immersive city tour with a professional Spanish-speaking guide. Our first stop will be the Cathedral, an impressive baroque-style church adorned with masterpieces from the Cusco School of Art. Then, we will explore Qorikancha, also known as the Golden Temple, where you can admire the sacred temples of Thunder, the Moon, the Rainbow, the Stars, and Santo Domingo.
The tour continues with a visit to Sacsayhuamán, an archaeological complex offering breathtaking views of Cusco. Afterward, we will head to Qenqo, often referred to as the Labyrinth, a unique temple dedicated to Mother Earth, which served as a center for ceremonies and astronomical studies. Next, we will visit Puka Pukara, a site featuring plazas, aqueducts, watchtowers, and pathways. Finally, our tour concludes with a visit to the archaeological site of Tambomachay before returning to Cusco.
